History and Mission Statement

History

The PRD Fireball 125cc engine was designed by the renowned Australian Peter R. Dell of Pro Racing Design Company Ltd. The PRD Fireball is maufactored at Dell’s Taipei, Taiwan factory where he personally directs operations.

Originally introduced in 2004, the PRD Fireball has seen several improvements, which includes a new clutch design, a coated piston and an improved radiator with mounting hardware. Other upgrades to the engine are a new rod, head, battery mount, as well as a CNC machined liner and starter relay.

Mission Statement

The PRD 125cc TAG is our commitment to bring an affordable package to the United States, but our vision at RLV extends beyond a low-cost alternative.

Currently, the engine has been homologated and approved under IKF, WKA and TAG USA competition in the touch and go class structure, but our hope is to foster a pure, single-engine class rules that insure competitive levels, longevity and affodability coupled with a claiming rule that really makes sense.

How Will We Measure Success

The PRD-Fireball will be deemed a successful program only when entry level and club racers use it as a gateway to our sport. This gateway will provide an affordable look into and at the sport of karting and through it, the entry level/club racer will transition into the main stream of kart racing in America. At RLV this is our goal, this is our mission.
